(Heb. Kattath', קִטָּת , small, for קִטֶּנֶת; Sept. Καττάθ v. r. Κατανάθ), one of the cities of Zebulon, mentioned first in a list of towns apparently along the southern border from Mount Tabor westerly (Joshua 19:15); and (notwithstanding the slight difference in radicals) probably the same with the KARTAH (See KARTAH) (q.v.) of Joshua 21:34; perhaps also with KITRON (Judges 1:30). Schwarz (Palest. p. 172), by a tortuous derivation. through the Talmud, seeks to identify it with Cana of Galilee.
