a Scotch Presbyterian minister, was born at Dalvy, Galloway, Scotland, in 1782. He was pastor of the parish of Stevenson from 1811 to 1843, and of a Free-Church congregation at Saltcoats from 1843 until his death in 1854. Mr. Landsborough was very eminent as a naturalist, and wrote several treatises on botany and zoology.
