Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(λογοθέτης, q.d. chancellor) is the title given in the Greek Church to the member of the ecclesiastical courts holding the imperial seal to be appended to their edicts. (See GREEK CHURCH).
