Metagnostics
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
is a synonyme of metaphysics (qv.) (from μετά , beyond, and γνῶσις, knowledge), because it transcends common knowledge. This name, of course might be given to the whole system of philosophy.
