Naphisi
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Ναφισί Ναφεισεί; Vulg. Nasissin), one of the Temple servants whose "sons" returned from the exile (1 Esdras 5:31); evidently the NEPHISHESIM (q.v.) or NEPHUSIM of the Heb. texts (Nehemiah 7:52; Ezra 2:50).
