Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Hebrew, Nethan' -Me'lek, נְתִןאּמֶלֶךְ, i.e., Nathan of the king; Sept. Ναθάν βασιλεύς), a eunuch (A.V. "chamberlain") in the court of Josiah, by whose chamber at the entrance to the Temple were the horses which the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun (2 Kings 23:11). B.C. 628.
