(Νεεμίας v.r. Ναιμαίς ), the Grsecized form (retained in the A.V. of the Apocrypha) of the name NEHEMIAH (See NEHEMIAH) (q.v.), namely,

(a) The contemporary of Zerubbabel and Jeshua (Esdr. 5:8);

(b) The governor, son of Hachaliah (1 Esdras 5:40).
