a Presbyterian minister, was born at Centre Brook, Connecticut, January 29, 1796. He graduated from Yale College in 1820, and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1823, and was ordained February 25, 1824. From this time till 1826 he labored for the Shrewsbury Church, N.J. From 1827 to 1840 he was pastor of the Church at Darien, Georgia. He organized a Church in Roswell, in 1842, where he continued until his death, August 30, 1879.
