Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Sethur', סְתוּר , hidden; Sept. Σαθούρ ), the son of Michael, of the tribe of Asher, and one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to view the promised land (Numbers 13:13). B.C. 1657. See Van Sarn, Obs. Lightfootiana de Nomine Sethur (in the Miscell. Duisb. 1, 482 sq.).
