Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. Shilchi', שׁלְחי; probably armed, from שֵׁלֵח, a missile, Sept. Σαλί, v.r. Σαλα ‹, Σαλαλά, etc.), the father of Azubah, king Jehoshaphat's mother (2 Kings 22:42, 2 Chronicles 20:31). B.C. ante 946.
