(Heb. Shuni', שׁוּנַי , quiet [Gesen.], or fortunate [Furst]; Sept. Σουνί v.r. Σαυνίς ), third named of the seven sons of Gad (Genesis 41:16), and progenitor of a family named after him (Numbers 26:15). B.C. 1874.
