Shuphamite
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. collectively with the art. hash-Shuphami', הִשּׁוּפְמַי, patronymic from Shephupham; Sept. ὁ Σωφανί v.r. Οφαμί; A.V. "Shuphamites"), the designation (Numbers 26:39) of the family of Shephupham ("A.V. Shuphan"), or Shephuphan, the son of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:5). (See SHUPPIM).
