Socket
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(אֶדֶן, e'den), the base, e.g. of the planks of the tabernacle (Exodus 26:19, etc.), the pedestal of a pillar (38:10 sq.; Song of Solomon 5:15); the "foundation" of a building (Job 38:6). (See COLUMN).
