Statinus, or Statilinus

a Roman divinity whose office it was to watch over children before they could walk and to give them the ability to stand. Sacrifices were offered to him when a child began to stand or run alone (Augustine, De Civ. Dei, 4, 21; Tertull. De Anima, 39; Varro, Ap. Non. p. 528).
