2. גֶּז ע , geza, the stump ("stock," Job 14:8) or trunk ("stem," Isaiah 11:1; "stock," 40:24) of a tree;
3. עֵוֹ, ets (Jeremiah 2:27; Jeremiah 10:8), a tree, or piece of wood, as elsewhere rendered;
4. עֵקֶר, eker, a plant rooted up and then transplanted in a foreign soil (Leviticus 25:47);
5. γένος (Acts 13:26; Philippians 3:5), race, or kindred (as elsewhere rendered). A gazingstock (Nahum 3:6) is רַאַי, roi, a sight (variously rendered elsewhere).
