Temneh

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(or Timneh) Version. Temneh is the language spoken in the Ruiah country, near Sierra Leone, in West Africa. At present there exists a translation of the New Test., Genesis, and Psalms. The Gospel of St. Matthew, translated by the Rev. C. F. Schlenker, was printed only in 1866, the other parts now published having been added since that time. Comp.
