Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a French prelate, was appointed cardinal in 1312. He opposed the Spirituals, and wrote mystical expositions of the Proverbs, the Gospels, the Apocalypse, and various other portions of the Bible.
