Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

in Finnish mythology, was a servant of the wicked giant Hiisi (the personification of the wicked principle), who rules over the waters, as others ruled over the mountain s, the air, etc. See Lenormant, Chaldaean Magic, p. 257.
