Almodad
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
The eldest son of Joktan (Genesis 10:26, 1 Chronicles 1:20). The meaning of the name is uncertain. The first element, "Al," may be the Arabic article, and the second perhaps a corruption of "Maudad" (see JOKTAN).
