Elijah Rabbenu (ben Judah Tishbi)
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
Karaite scholar; died about 1584. He wrote in 1579 at Constantinople a work called "Pe'er" (="Perush Eliyahu Rabbenu"), a super-commentary on the first part of Aaron ben Joseph's Biblical commentary "Ha-Mibḥar." Moses of Zurudi, Elijah's son-in-law, revised this work in 1585. One copy is found in Leyden (No. 54) and another in Oxford (Neubauer, "Cat. Bodl. Hebr. MSS." No. 2352).
