Herzfeld, Adolf
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
German actor; born April 9, 1800, at Hamburg; died at Vienna March 24, 1874; son of Jacob Herzfeld. He made his début in Hamburg in 1821, where he played until 1829, when he was engaged for the Burgtheater, Vienna. There he stayed for forty years, retiring in 1869.
Herzfeld acted principally in dramas and comedies, his rôles being those of the bon-vivant and the man of the world.
