Naphtali ben David
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
Hebrew author; born at Witzenhausen, Germany; lived in Amsterdam at the beginning of the eighteenth century. He belonged to the family of R. Moses Isserles. Naphtali was a distinguished Talmudical scholar and enjoyed great fame as a cabalist. He published one book, "Ben Dawid" (Amsterdam, 1729), strictures on the cabalistic work "'Omer Man" by Menahem Lonzano.
