Kitto's Popular Cyclopedia of Biblical Literature
Az´zah, a mode of spelling the Hebrew name which is elsewhere rendered Gaza. The name occurs in this form in Deuteronomy 2:23; Jeremiah 25:20; which last clearly shows that Gaza is intended.
