Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Ἀζαρός v. r. Ἀζουρός), the name of a man whose descendants (or a place whose inhabitants), to the number of 432, are stated (1 Esdras 5:15) to have returned from the captivity; but the true lists (Ezra 2:16; Nehemiah 7:21) have no corresponding name.
