Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English Wesleyan missionary, went to the West Indies in 1815, and labored in the island of St. Vincent's. He died Aug. 29, 1817, of a fever induced by a cold when sailing in an open boat for Prince Rupert's Bay. "His charity, diligence, humility, resignation, and love have rarely been excelled."
