Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Scotch clergyman, native of Sutherland, and schoolmaster of Tongue, took his degree at King's College, Aberdeen, in 1814; was licensed to preach in 1819; appointed minister at the Gaelic Chapel, Aberdeen, in 1822, having been a missionary at Eribon previously. He was promoted to the Gaelic Chapel-of-ease, Glasgow, in 1823, thence to the living at Keanloch-bervie in 1834, and died April 15,1856, aged seventy-two years. See Fasti Eccles.
