Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English composer of church music, was educated under Dr. Blow, of the Chapel Royal, appointed organist of St. Paul's Cathedral in 1693, and in 1704 one of the organists in the king's chapel.
