a Baptist minister, was born at Fitzwilliam, N.H., in 1787, and removed with his parents to Braintree, Vermont, in 1797. He was converted at the age of thirteen; was subsequently ordained in Cornish, N.H., and for several years labored in churches in that state and Vermont until in 1818 he moved to Hanover, N.H., and took charge of the Church in that town, preaching much, also, in all the regionround about.
