Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Carthusian monk and ascetic writer, was born at Cologne about 1560, and died as prior of the Carthusians at Freiburg, October 1, 1623. His works are mostly translations of ascetical writings, originally written in Italian, Spanish, and French.
