Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a famous Talmudist, who died at Slonim in 1827, is the author of איי הים, or Disquisitions on the Haggadas in the Talmud and Explanations of the Haggadic Interpretation of the Scripture (Ostrok, 1835): שפה לנאמנים, a Hebrew grammar (Lemberg, 1793): also Philosophical Derashas, or homilies, (1802):Commentaries on Maimonides' introduction to the Talmudic tract Tohoroth, etc. See First, Bibl.
