Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Hebrew Elidad', אֵַלידָד , whom God has loved; Sept. Ε᾿λδάδ, Vulg. Eldad), the son of Chislon, and phylarch of the tribe of Benjamin, one of the commissioners appointed, to portion out the promised land among the tribes (Numbers 31:7; Numbers 31:21). B.C. 1619.
