(סְנֵפַּיר, senappir', of uncertain etymol.), the fin of a fish (q.v.), a distinctive mark of such as might be eaten under the Mosaic law (Leviticus 11:9-10; Leviticus 11:12; Deuteronomy 14:9-10). (See CLEAN).
