Gennaeus
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Γενναῖος, i.e., high-born, but v.r. Γἐνεος ), apparently given (2 Maccabees 12:2) as the name of the father of the Syrian general Apollonius (q.v.); but perhaps it is a mere epithet.
