Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Giba', גִּבִַ א, hill; Sept. Γαιβαά v.r. Γαιβάλ ), a place built or occupied in connection with Macbenah by Sheva, son of Caleb's concubine Maachah (1 Chronicles 2:49); hence probably the same with GIBEAH (q.v.) of Judah (Joshua 15:57).
