Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
besides its common sense (דָּבִק, to cling or adhere), is technically used of the binders (מְחִבְּרוֹת, mechabberoth'), whether of wood or stone, of the walls of a building (1 Chronicles 22:3). (See COUPLING).
