Maria, de Liincarnation

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a French female missionary, whose original name was Guyard, was born at Tours in 1599. She early joined the Ursuline nuns; visited Canada in 1639, where she made many converts among the Indians; and founded a conlvent of her order. She died in 1672.
