(Heb. Shelah', שֵׁלָה , a petition, as in 1 Samuel 1:17; or rather perhaps peace, i.q. Shiloh Sept. Σηλώμ or Σηλώ ν . r. Σηλώ ), the youngest son of Judah by the daughter of Shuah the Canaanite (Genesis 38:5; Genesis 38:11; Genesis 38:14; Genesis 38:26; Genesis 41:12; 1 Chronicles 2:2). B.C. ante 1873.
