Shiphtan
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. Shiphtan', ]שַׁפְטָ , judicial; Sept. Σαφτάν v.r. Σαβαθάν ), father of Kemuel, which latter was the phylarch, of Ephraim and one of the commissioners appointed to divide Canaan among the tribes (Numbers 34:24). B.C. ante 1618.
