Wolf, Friedrich August
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born July 31, 1784. He was appointed preacher at St. Peter's, in Leipsic, in 1805, and died August 12, 1841. He left in MS. sermons, which were published by Kritz (Leipsic, 1841-44, 6 volumes). See Winer, Handbuch der theol. Lit. 2:171; Zuchold, Bibl. Theol. 2:1466. (B.P.)
