Ben-Hesed
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
Commissariat officer of Solomon with residence in Aruboth in Judah (1 Kings 4:10, R.V.). His district was Hepher and Sochoh. There being several places of the name "Sochoh," it is not easy to decide which one is meant. The context speaks in favor of the one near Ḥebron (Joshua 15:48).
