a Protestant Episcopal minister, was born in 1700, and graduated at Yale College in 1721. For several years he served in the Congregational Church at Newtown, Conn., but in 1732 conformed to the Church of England, and was ordained )by the Bishop of London in that year. He served as missionary at Newtown and Reading for 50 years, and died March 8, 1782. He published several tracts in favor of the Church of England, and a number of occasional sermons.
