(Hebrew id. אלִֵישׁוּ , God is his salvations, Sept. Ε᾿λισουέ v.r. Ε᾿λισαύ and Ε᾿λισά, Vulg. Elisua), one of the sons of David, born at Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:15; 1 Chronicles 14:5); called ELISHAMA (See ELISHAMA) (q.v.) in the parallel passage (1 Chronicles 3:6). B.C. post 1044.
