(Heb. Yizrachyah', יַזְרִחְיָה, sprout of Jehovah sc. into the world), the name of one or two men.
1. (Sept. Ι᾿εζριά; Vulg. Israhia.) The "son" of Uzzi, and grandson of Tola, the son of Issachar (1 Chronicles 7:3). B.C. cir. 1014. (See OBADIAH).
2. (Sept. omits, but some copies have Ι᾿εζρίας , others Ι᾿εσρίας; Vulg. Jezraja; A.V. "Jezrahiah.") The superintendent of the singers (doubtless a Levite) who celebrated the completion of the walls of Jerusalem after the Exile (Nehemiah 12:42). B.C. 446.
