City mentioned in the Old Testament as the capital of Idumea, and probably the birthplace of Bela, son of Beor, King of Edom (Genesis 36:32; 1 Chronicles 1:43). The efforts at locating the Dinhabah of Scripture have thus far been unsuccessful.
