Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created in making it.

Then the man said,"This one finally is bone of my bones,And flesh of my flesh;This one shall be called Woman,Because this one was taken out of Man."

And he said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

And Yahweh God said to the serpent,"Because you have done this,Cursed are you more than any of the cattle,And more than every beast of the field;On your belly you will go,And dust you will eatAll the days of your life;

Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it';Cursed is the ground because of you;In pain you will eat of itAll the days of your life.

By the sweat of your faceYou will eat bread,Till you return to the ground,Because from it you were taken;For you are dust,And to dust you shall return."

Now the man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living.

Then Yahweh said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever because he indeed is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be 120 years."

Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood.

And Yahweh smelled the soothing aroma; and Yahweh said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of the whole earth; and from there Yahweh scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well with me because of you, and that I may live on account of you."

Therefore he treated Abram well because of her; and sheep and oxen and donkeys and male and female servants and female donkeys and camels came into his possession.

But Yahweh struck Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

And the angel of Yahweh said to her further,"Behold, you are with child,And you will bear a son;And you shall call his name Ishmael,Because Yahweh has heard your affliction.

Suppose the fifty righteous are lacking five, will You destroy the whole city because of five?" And He said, "I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there."

for we are about to destroy this place because their outcry has become great before Yahweh, so Yahweh has sent us to destroy it."

But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night and said to him, "Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married."

And Abraham said, "Because I said, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.
