Yet you haven't called on me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel.

Yet hear now, O Jacob my slave, and Israel, who I have chosen:

They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it stands, from its place it shall not remove: yes, one may cry to it, yet it can't answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not [yet] done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;

But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice [due] to me is with Yahweh, and my recompense with my God.

Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

The sons of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too strait for me; give a place to me that I may dwell.

Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn't open his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he didn't open his mouth.

Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him that was made sick. If his soul makes an offering for sin, [then] he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yahweh shall prosper in his hand.

Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for their sins.

The Lord Yahweh, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, Yet I will gather [others] to him, besides his own that are gathered.

You were wearied with the length of your way; yet you didn't say, It is in vain: you found a quickening of your strength; therefore you were not faint.

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

And it shall come to pass that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Therefore I will yet contend with you, says Yahweh, and with the sons of your sons I will contend.

Has a nation changed [its] gods, which yet are no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.

Yet I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then have you turned into the wild branches of a foreign vine to me?

For though you wash yourself with lye, and take yourself much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before me, says the Lord Yahweh.

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
