Yet will I bring an heir against you, O inhabitant of Mareshah; he shall exalt the glory of Israel for ever.

The chiefs thereof judge for a bribe, and its priests teach for hire, and its prophets divine for money; yet they rely upon the LORD, saying, The LORD is among us, no evil can come upon us;

And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of towns of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth a ruler to govern Israel; whose goings forth have been predicted from of old, from eternity.

Yet even she was carried away into captivity; her children were dashed in pieces at the head of all the streets; and they cast lots for her honorable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, and I will joy in the God my Saviour.

Thus says the LORD of hosts: This people say the time has not yet come to build the house of the LORD.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work; for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts.

I smote you with blight and with mildew and with hail in all the labor of your hands; yet you turned not to me, says the LORD.

Consider now in your hearts, for there is no grain for the seed in the threshing floor, and the vine, and as yet the fig tree and the pomegranate and the olive trees have not brought forth; from this day I will bless them, says the LORD.

Proclaim again, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: From henceforth the cities shall yet overflow with prosperity; and the LORD shall again build Zion and shall again choose Jerusalem.

Thus says the LORD of hosts: Henceforth there shall yet come people and the inhabitants of many cities;

And I will scatter them among the nations, yet they shall praise me in far countries; and they shall rear their children and return again.

And it shall come to pass that if any man shall yet prophesy, his father and his mother shall say to him, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of the LORD; and his father and his mother who bore him shall cut him asunder when he prophesies.

I have loved you, says the LORD. But you say, In what way hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacobs brother? says the LORD; yet I have loved Jacob, and I have not favored Esau;

You are cursed with curses, and yet you defraud me.

And henceforth we call the wicked blessed; yea, they that work wickedness are well established; they tempt God, and yet they are delivered.

But John tried to stop him, and said, I need to be baptized by you, and yet have you come to me?

Watch the birds of the sky, for they do not sow, neither do they harvest, nor gather into barns, and yet your Father in heaven feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall on the ground without your Father''s will.

Truly I say to you, that among those who are born of women, there has never risen one who is greater than John the Baptist; and yet even the least person in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
