Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold on me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I can't hear; I am dismayed so that I can't see.

For through the voice of the LORD shall the Ashshur be dismayed; with his rod will he strike [him].

Declare you among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don't conceal: say, Bavel is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodakh is dismayed; her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.

A sword is on the boasters, and they shall become fools; a sword is on her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.

You, son of man, don't be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: don't be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
