Then Sarah denied [it], saying, I didn't laugh; for she was afraid. And he said, No; but you did laugh.

And the men turned from there, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Yahweh.

And Abraham answered and said, Seeing now that I have taken on myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

And he said, Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: perhaps ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.

and he said, Look now, my lords, turn aside, I pray you, into your slave's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and you shall rise up early, and go on your way. And they said, No; but we will abide in the street all night.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;

But the men put forth their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut the door.

And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Get up, go out of this place; for Yahweh will destroy the city. But he seemed to his sons-in-law as one that mocked.

But he lingered; and the men laid hold on his hand, and on the hand of his wife, and on the hand of his two daughters, Yahweh being merciful to him; and they brought him forth, and set him outside the city.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, Look, you are but a dead man, because of the woman whom you have taken. For she is a man's wife.

And moreover she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife:

Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son. But according to the kindness that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land wherein you have sojourned.

And Abimelech said, I don't know who has done this thing. You did not tell me, and I had not heard of it yet, but today.

And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father. And he said, Here I am, my son. And he said, Look, the fire and the wood. But where is the lamb for a burnt-offering?

And he spoke to Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if you will, I pray you, hear me. I will give the price of the field. Take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

But you shall go to my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son Isaac.

And there was set food before him to eat. But he said, I will not eat, until I have told my errand. And he said, Speak on.

But you shall go to my father's house, and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son.

But to the sons of the concubines, that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts. And he sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, to the east country.
