Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

God said to Shlomo, Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those who hate you, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:

Then Huram the king of Tzor answered in writing, which he sent to Shlomo, Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them.

If your people Yisra'el be struck down before the enemy, because they have sinned against you, and shall turn again and confess your name, and pray and make supplication before you in this house;

When the sky is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you do afflict them:

The Kohanim could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD's house.

Moreover Shlomo made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of the LORD; for there he offered the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings, because the brazen altar which Shlomo had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, and the meal-offering, and the fat.

They shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, and laid hold on other gods, and worshiped them, and served them: therefore has he brought all this evil on them.

Shlomo brought up the daughter of Par`oh out of the city of David to the house that he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Yisra'el, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD has come.

Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on his throne, to be king for the LORD your God: because your God loved Yisra'el, to establish them forever, therefore made he you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.
